Community Involvement

We get asked to support many charities each year. These are some of the many that we have helped and that we feel have a great purpose. This isn’t an end all to who we help, nor is it an exhaustive list of good groups and organizations. We just thought that if we could highlight a few, and extend their reach, that helps everyone. It’s just another part of being a family business and part of the community.

In Alphabetical order:

Bluebird Cancer Retreats
Through the unique experience of weekend programs, Bluebird Cancer Retreats of West Michigan provides hope and respite for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer.  For three days and two nights, participants have a special opportunity for listening and learning, not only about their disease, but insights from others who live with cancer. Mike golfs in the annual Gorilla Golf outing where he golfs as many holes of golf in 1 day from sunup to sundown as he can. His record from 2016 is 162 holes of golf in one day.

Scouts BSA Boys Troop 246 – Boy Scouts
In our family, there are 4 Eagle Scouts. Claude, Robert, Rob and Mike. We believe in Scouting and what it does to turn boys into young men, and young men into leaders. Robert still serves on the Troop 246 committee, while Mike is serving in the role of assistant scoutmaster.

Asking for help

If you are part of an organization and you would like to ask for help on your printing or advertising work, or for some sort of a donation, please submit the request in writing to Mike via email (see the contact us page). Include how your event or organization helps the community or what your mission is, along with what benefit, if any, there is for Ver Duin’s Inc. We carefully consider every request and respond in a timely manner to each one.
